2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)

Plotwise, this is a much better movie than the first. The dialogue however took a drastic step down. I don’t know if it was the writing, the director, or the actors but it felt like it was trying too hard to be bro dialogue. They definitely went bigger with this one with bigger set pieces and cooler driving tricks. This one relied less on racing and more on driving on the run. It also felt a bit disconnected from the first movie. You could skip the first movie and have assumed this was the first one. This was a good blockbuster-y Saturday morning cartoon kind of action movie. It’s high-octane fun and worth a watch if you want fun action or you are a dudebro who loves cars and chicks.
