This movie had…problems. The biggest thing is motivation. They seemed forced, especially with Electro and Goblin. The thing that I really loved about this movie was the cinematography and sound design/score. I combine those because a lot of Electro’s stuff had a dubstep element and you can even hear inner thought rapping during the Times Square scene when it focuses on Electro. The web-swinging shots are fantastic. The movie was made with such care. The story just held it back. I would have loved for Sony to finish the trilogy, but they did the usual leap to sinister six with minimal effort. Sinister Six doesn’t work as a build-up. It works when it’s part of the story like No Way Home or the Sony Spider-man game. This movie could have been better but at least it lead us to Spidey in the MCU. There is chatter of giving Tobey and Andrew more movies and I’ll be there…even if the reviews say it's garbage. Andrew was my generation's Spider-man. I feel whichever Spidey came out around your high school days is your Spidey. This movie is still beautiful. Just needed story work.
