The Avengers (2012)

This was my favorite movie for the longest time and god damn it still slaps. The dialogue was comic book-y. Reliving the build-up and payoff for the OG Avengers to team up still puts a huge smile on my face. I was quoting the whole movie and enjoyed the whole thing. Character arcs were minimal but the whole point was getting these very different characters to team up for a single purpose. I still remember seeing this movie's opening night (shout out to the dude behind us getting so hyped for Hulk). This is equal parts nostalgic and equal parts outright awesome. A part of me wanted to give this a 100% but I know what’s coming down the line so I held back a few points.
