The Fast and The Furious (2001)

Full disclosure, this is my first time properly watching any of the movies. I remember when I was a kid watching these as something in the background or at a sleepover. I honestly only remembered these movies being about cars. I did not realize there was a whole FBI investigation thing going on. I was not at that age where I comprehended movies yet apparently. Anyways, so the movie is pretty solid. There were a lot of cool cars and introduced some great characters. The story felt very run-of-the-mill for a 2001 action flick. It never really felt dragged out at any point. The camera work, especially during the races, made it almost feel like a video game with the distortion warping from the speed. Granted, games in 2001 were still blocky mush but the comparison still stands. I think this is a good introduction to a world that will build over many decades. This seems to be like James Bond where in theory it will go on forever and just swap characters as needed.

0%-59% = just skip it, I find the positives and they don't exist here
