Insidious: The Last Key (2018)

The franchise is becoming a bit stale by this 4th entry. I was having trouble staying invested in this one. Chapter 3 already did the Further stuff with new people and did a bit of an origin already. This one felt unnecessary and just felt like the studio was keeping on while not making it obvious it was about the money. I personally would rather Blumhouse make a third Happy Death Day. Horror needs to be fun. Having Insidious and Conjuring running simultaneously feels a bit like double dipping. This one isn’t worth your time unless you just want to watch the whole franchise on an afternoon binge.

Grade scale:

90%-100% = must watch

80%-89% = solid, but could be better

70%-79% = Not terrible, watch if the characters or story interests you

60%-69% = only watch for completionist reasons

0%-59% = just skip it, I find the positives and they don't exist here
