I am a huge fan of A.I. and I love Blumhouse horror productions. This was a match made in heaven and I am so here for it. I literally got teary-eyed at one point and Megan's singing gave me chills at another point. There is so much to love about this movie. Megan obviously stole the show as she should. Of course, it is the classic "Self-learning A.I. goes beyond protocols and sees directives as an opportunity for murder". So basically an Ultron in a 7-year-old silicone body. Things set up early in the movie ultimately pay off. The whole theme of dealing with grief head-on rather than making something to distract you is something everyone faces at some point in their life so it is super relatable. There was the perfect balance of humor and horror which a lot of Blumhouse pictures have. I cannot overstate how amazing this movie is. This is easily among my top favorite horror movies ever. I keep bringing up Blumhouse, but they are the real heroes of the horror genre. They don't make Oscar-worthy movies, but they make genuinely fun horror movies. They inject just enough humor to be dynamic with the horror without going full campiness. This is a must-see!
