Saw X (Released 9/29/23)

I’m going to be real, this movie is really well done and anyone who says differently is dumb. This delivers on stressful, grotesque traps. There are plenty of twists and tension. This does take place between the original and 2. That takes a little bit of the tension away because you know he has to survive a bit longer. It also gives a bit more backstory and focus on Kraemer. There is another familiar face, however, that is a midpoint reveal but I loved it. It won’t be as coveted as the original but it has a great story without the need to feel convoluted. There is also the “Big Pharma is squashing life-changing medicine in favor of life-long treatments” theme thrown in there. Money really is the root of all evil in this world. There is also a fun mid-credits scene that brings back an extra familiar face. If you are a fan of the Saw franchise, definitely watch it. If you aren’t, why are you even reading this?
