Scream 4 (2011)

Now it’s time for the reboot rules. A lot of it is meant to be back to basics, but with more body count. I guess this is a reboot and not a remake because it has elements of a sequel while trying to start over for a new generation. It’s crazy there is an emphasis on being a viral internet star to become famous and this was over a decade ago. 2011 was prime Smosh, Shane Dawson, Epic Rap Battles, and so many more internet stars. I miss those days. Anyways, so ya, this movie is lowkey my favorite overall at this point. The first Scream is a classic, but this had better pacing and a more surprising twist for the killers. The downfall of this movie is the characterizations of the new people are played out and the legacy characters didn’t change or grow much. Emma Roberts was a fun addition to the cast and it’s always nice to see the original gang come back. I really liked this one, I would genuinely recommend it.
